Australia’s favorite regional street art fiesta, the Wall to Wall Festival, is making a vibrant comeback this April. Known for its burst of color, creativity, and community spirit, the festival spans a lively weekend. Curated and managed by the famous Juddy Roller—the team behind iconic projects like the Silo Art Trail and the Collingwood Housing Project—this year’s event will transform Mordi Village in Mordialloc into an extraordinary open-air gallery from Saturday 5 to Sunday 6 April, 2025.
The 2025 lineup features ten of the world's most dynamic street artists, set to double the precinct’s current number of murals. As artists turn walls, alleyways, and unexpected corners into mesmerizing visual experiences, the bayside village will be revitalized. The murals will range from abstract fantasy pieces to stunningly realistic artworks, offering a diverse and thrilling display of international talent and local narratives.
Festival-goers can anticipate remarkable works from headlining artist Drez, whose “portal” installations conjure dreamlike, otherworldly realms. The festival will also see the hyper-realistic masterpieces of the globally renowned Smug, alongside engaging and thoughtful pieces by Minna Leunig, a Victorian artist and daughter of the late Michael Leunig. LA-based muralist Lauren YS, celebrated for their bold takes on identity and queerness, will transform a vintage 1980s Porsche 911 into a mobile, psychedelic masterpiece.
The roster also includes Bidju, a First Nations artist known for blending traditional motifs with modern design, and Ellen Porteus, who brings a vibrant mix of illustration and mural art. Claudio Mantuano, a local favorite from Kingston, will add a playful flair, while legendary graffiti artist Sofles presents his intricate murals. Completing the list are Jason Parker, famed for his vivid and emotionally gripping color schemes, and Jasmine Crisp from Adelaide, whose oil paintings delve into themes of identity, memory, and culture.
Wall to Wall is more than just about murals; it's a rich cultural immersion. Attendees will have the opportunity to partake in guided art tours, interactive workshops, and enjoy market stalls, face painting, and live music. There will also be a community "paint-by-numbers" wall, making it a family-friendly environment. Mordi’s own art space, Le Studio, will exhibit creations by 12 local artists. Furthermore, festival partner St Felix will debut a custom gin bottle designed by Drez.
Taking place during the last weekend of daylight savings and the onset of school holidays, Wall to Wall is a spectacular event to celebrate the transformative essence of street art by the bay. Enjoy the festival’s vibrant atmosphere and inspiring artworks brought to life by an array of talented artists and community collaborations.
